Invisalign is a system that uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. Invisalign relies on 3D computer imaging technology to design and manufacture your aligners. Invisalign aligners are a great alternative for patients who want to avoid wearing metal braces, or for patients who want to make minor corrections to their smile. Undergoing orthodontic treatment with clear aligners comes with many advantages:
- Since clear aligners are removable, they are easier to keep clean and maintain the health of your teeth and gums.
- Clear aligners are comfortable and less likely to irritate your gums and cheeks since there is no metal to cause abrasions.
- Clear aligners prevent wear on the teeth from tooth grinding.
- You can continue to eat all the foods you love since you can remove your aligners to eat and drink.

Instead, we rely on 3D imaging technology to map your dental anatomy and plan your treatment. Not only is this more precise than traditional impressions, but it also allows you to see your treatment from start to finish before we begin.
Self-ligating braces look similar to traditional braces, but they skip the ties. Instead, the archwire threads seamlessly through the bracket. We use the Damon System, known for pioneering the self-ligating system. Known for being more comfortable and less visible than traditional braces, as well as faster in their treatment, self-ligating braces are often the way to go.
Ceramic braces are an aesthetic alternative to traditional metal braces. Combining ceramic brackets that blend into the natural teeth with self-ligation metal, they are a highly aesthetic option. While these are more fragile than metal brackets, they are no less effective at moving teeth.
