Jeremy West, DDS
My profession is my joy and my unique opportunity to do what I love. My mother is a dentist, and growing up in her dental office, I quickly developed a fascination with teeth. Becoming a dentist was fulfilling a life-long dream of mine. During school, I became enamored with creating smiles without drilling, and this sparked my interest in orthodontics. Being able to do what I love is one of my greatest blessings. I feel like I get to help people every day achieve the smiles they’ve always wanted. In turn, they help me live the dream that started when I was a little boy. I feel truly grateful to my patients and my family for helping me get here.
I love a natural smile – we all have one. My passion is in accentuating my patients’ natural smiles and making them as beautiful as possible. We are all different, but a beautiful smile breaks down barriers, builds relationships, and makes people feel good. I want to make people smile!
I’m most excited about creating an individualized experience for all my patients. When we take their braces off, what we see is something truly amazing – newfound confidence, self-esteem, and ideal function. I truly appreciate the trust my patients place in me and my team. No matter the challenge, we work with our patients to achieve a great result. “Whatever it takes” is a motto that I like to use to get the results my patients deserve and expect.
Education and Continuing Education
After receiving my dental degree from the University of the Pacific, I headed to the University of Colorado for my orthodontic training. Colorado was a nice change of pace but after a quick 27-month residency, I decided the warm weather of California was calling me home.
I’m a curious person by nature. I constantly think about how I treat my patients and if there’s a better way to achieve great smiles. I’m an avid attendee of continuing education courses. I believe learning doesn’t stop at residency and if anything, I’m learning more now than I did in school. I believe technology and new techniques continue to push orthodontics to new levels, and I enjoy learning and implementing new things in our practice.

Outside the Office
I grew up in a small town inside of a big town, in South Pasadena, California. I loved the big trees and quiet atmosphere despite being minutes from the hustle of Los Angeles. My beautiful wife, Michiko, and I now call Modesto our home, and we love being part of this community that has welcomed us with open arms. We have four wonderful little boys: Maika, Kai, Teo, and Boen. They keep us busy with their activities and sports, but our favorite thing to do is just hang out together. Life with the boys is busy, but if we are not working, we like to travel together as a family. Our favorite spot is usually somewhere near the beach. I’m also crazy about sports. I grew up eating, sleeping, and dreaming sports. I love to coach my sons’ teams and watch them play. When my knee is working, I even play on an indoor soccer team.
Being active in the community gives me the opportunity to help people in other ways than just moving their teeth. Being a Scout leader has helped me get involved in the lives of young men that want to learn about being better people and becoming better future husbands, fathers, and citizens.
